Gate very specifically designed to obstruct vehicular access, 5th July 2010
“Gate leading onto Catherton Common from the Shropshire Wildlife Trust Field. This was put in some time ago by the SWT to stop vehicles using the route and works very well.”
This statement was made by Chris B (Shropshire Wildlife Trust warden and neighbour) posted on the Clee View Bridleways Group website dated 30th September 2011, under the Section F – Oreton – Catherton Common section – LINK:

This is confirmation that the original ten foot gate was replaced by Shropshire Wildlife Trust with a much smaller gate, this gate was specifically designed to obstruct vehicular access via the property’s legal right of way.
Further acknowledgement that Shropshire Wildlife Trust was well aware that vehicles were driving via this route when they changed the gate:
